Why should I hire a Videographer for my wedding?
Your wedding day is a once in a lifetime event. You have probably
spent months planning and organising everything down to the last
detail. After all that planning, you will want a video to remember
your wonderful day. A good videographer will capture your wedding
day or special event in a quality that is not matched by an amateur
or family member. It may be cheaper or even free if you have an
amateur do it, but will it be worth it?
How do you differ from other videographers?
Passion, I will treat your ceremony as if it were my own and will
strive to give you the best possible products I can deliver. I am
proud of the fact that most of the work I do comes from referrals.
What kind of services do you offer?
I specialise in weddings and special events such as weddings,
anniversaries, birthdays.
Will you be unobtrusive?
Absolutely, I always try to be discreet and keep in the background
to capture the atmosphere of your wedding day including those real
life unguarded moments which otherwise go unnoticed by yourselves
and your guests
Do you work well with the photographer?
I take pride in working with your photographer so we both can do our
best jobs for you.
Can I have my wedding in widescreen format?
Yes of course, I offer a choice of 4 x 3 or 16 x 9 formats.
I understand that there are two different formats
of DVD’s, which DVD format do you use and will it play on my DVD
player?
Yes, there are two different formats of DVD’s, one is the DVD -R and
the other is the DVD +R. I can provide you with either format.
Currently DVD-R discs are more likely to play back on the majority
of DVD, however newer players should have no problem with a DVD +R
disc.
Can I
have my own choice of music?
Of course, I always ask you to choose your own music, everyone's
taste in music is different so the choice is entirely yours. If you
want suggestions or guidance I’m happy to help.
What will be the finished
Video Length?
I’m not into making 2-3 hour long epic wedding videos, wedding
video should be entertaining and I believe that a 1 to 1½ hour long
programme is just enough. Sometimes it will be shorter or longer
depending on the size of your wedding (unless you say otherwise)
Who owns the DVD master tapes?
Beautiful Moments owns the copyright to the tapes, should you
desperately want the tapes I’m sure something could be arranged or
you could have the raw footage on DVD for an extra cost.
How far in advance should
I book?
Book your wedding videographer at least a year in advance to avoid
any disappointment. This is especially true for Spring, Summer and
Bank Holiday weekends.
Do you use lights?
Very rarely, modern cameras can get enough surrounding light for the
first dance with out using extra lights. Lights also have a bad
effect on what we’re trying to film. I would consider using lights
in during the day if we really thought that we needed them, that’s
why I have a meeting with you before your wedding to look around all
the venues you’ll be using.
How soon after the
wedding will I receive the video?
Normally within 2 to 4 weeks of your Wedding Day, sometimes during
the summer months this can stretch to 6 weeks. It all depends on the
size of your wedding, the editing style you have chosen and the
music CDs being available for the background music. It could also be
delayed if you want any of your honeymoon photos adding to the
video.
Can I be involved in the
editing process?
Yes and no, the editing of a wedding video takes many hours
therefore it is not practical to be there for the full editing
process. However you will be fully involved in choosing the style of
editing to be used and if there is something particular that you
want included just let me know. You can also get involved at the
final cut stage to ensure that everything you wanted has been kept
in the video.
Do
you sub-contract work?
Absolutely not, when a date is booked I close the date.
How
can we see your work?
I do not post out demo DVD's to protect clients’ privacy but I
can arrange to visit you at your home for a private viewing
with no obligation at all.
How
can I find out more information on what it will cost?
The current price list on the web site, or you can email me or just give me a call.
How
do we book ‘Beautiful Moments’?
Simply call or e-mail and I will check to see if your wedding
date is free. A non-refundable deposit of £100 is all that is
required to secure the booking, the remaining balance is required
six weeks before your wedding date.
